Growing a little human is hard work. Preconception, pregnancy, postpartum and breastfeeding all require abundant and diverse nutrient stores, which is why Mum’s One was researched and formulated to include crucial pregnancy nutrients: folate, B12, choline, iodine, magnesium, and iron, making it the ultimate pregnancy multi.

Mum’s One is our new and improved version of Prenatal Nurture, designed to support your body and baby when preparing for pregnancy, during pregnancy and keeping you nourished post pregnancy whilst breastfeeding.

*Mums One contains 300mcg of folate in an active, highly bioavailable form and 150mcg of iodine. The Ministry of Health recommends a daily intake of 800mcg of folic acid for at least four weeks prior to conception and for 12 weeks after conceiving and 150mcg/day of iodine. We recommend speaking with your midwife or healthcare practitioner about any additional requirements for folic acid and iodine.

Why BePure Mum's One?

If you are wanting to prepare your body for conception, nutrition is highly important as pregnancy requires a tonne of your body's energy and depletes its resources, including vitamins and minerals. Because of this, it's of the utmost importance to make sure you're getting the right micronutrients in your body well before you try to conceive.

Women (and men!) need a minimum of 3 months to properly nourish our bodies prior to conceiving, so it’s a good idea to start loving your body for baby-making early on.

Mum's One has been designed as the ultimate multi for mum's preparing for pregnancy, during pregnancy, and after giving birth. Folate and iodine are included to support the prevention of neural tube defects and promote healthy neural, thyroid and brain development in babies. It's packed with plenty of nourishing nutrients to give both mother and baby the very best start into motherhood and childhood. Each ingredient has been hand selected to support mother and baby across this miraculous life event.

For example, when it comes to B vitamins and fertility the form really matters. We typically recommend an MVI or B-complex that contains L-Methylfolate (Folate), Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate (B6), and Methylcobalamin (B12) for optimal absorption.

For those with PMS and wanting to conceive, B6 is going to be a winner for you. The activated form of B6 (pyridoxal 5-phosphate or P5P) is essential for the synthesis of steroid hormones, particularly progesterone. B6 also promotes anti-inflammatory prostaglandins and assists with healthy detoxification and clearance of both oestrogen and histamine (a common contributor of PMS).

Mum's One has been designed to be taken alongside BePure Two and ideally BePure Three to support optimal nutrient levels pre, during and post pregnancy.

Good Product

I would recommend the product, but they make me a little nauseous.

BePure

Thanks so much for your review. Our Mum's One is a high-quality multi that can sometimes cause nausea when taken on an empty stomach so we would highly recommend taking your capsules with a meal to help ease this. :) If you have any questions or concerns we are more than happy to help so feel free to call or email us. 0800 52 54 52 info@bepure.co.nz

The best for pregnancy and breastfeeding!

I took this product (in its previous form, I forget the name) throughout my entire pregnancy, and switched to Mum’s One when the product changed names/formulas. I am sure it is helping to keep me on top of my game with three young children. I take this alongside the BePure Three each day. Remember to keep it in the fridge! I will continue to use this throughout my breastfeeding journey.

Be careful of when you take it - always with food (and not if you get nausea!)

It's OK... I won't be buying again. Sure, their marketing it nice, but I'm not sure it's really worth the price tag compared to others. The smell is horrendous, so be careful if you have any whiff of nausea. And always take with food. A few times I've had it even only 30-45 mins after food and dry reached afterwards, not a pleasant experience, and that's in my 2nd and 3rd trimester. Also feel 3 is a lot of tablets to take each day. Ended up taking it alternate days, with the standard ones my midwife prescribed.

BePure

We are sorry to hear Philippa. The Choline is likely the culprit to this smell you are experiencing, and I have emailed you some more information around this now for you. I look forward to your reply and supporting you the best we can.

Highly recommended for the whole journey!

I took mum’s one during pregnancy and am still using it while breastfeeding. Felt healthier during pregnancy than I did before I was pregnant, and I would say these supplements have been a big attributing factor. Overall a happy baby, a happy mum and a healthy milk supply. A supplement that will be staying in my life!
