*Mums One contains 300mcg of folate in an active, highly bioavailable form and 150mcg of iodine. The Ministry of Health recommends a daily intake of 800mcg of folic acid for at least four weeks prior to conception and for 12 weeks after conceiving and 150mcg/day of iodine. We recommend speaking with your midwife or healthcare practitioner about any additional requirements for folic acid and iodine.

Vitamin B9 as methylated folate - For increased protection from neural tube defects.
Vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin - Needed for DNA replication and repair (mother and baby’s cellular growth).
Choline - Protective role in the development of the foetal brain and on behaviour in children following birth
Iodine as potassium iodide - For baby’s brain development, and to promote healthy uterine tissue, breast tissue, optimal thyroid function and brain health for the mother.
Magnesium - Plays a crucial role in the treatment of unwanted pregnancy disorders.
Iron as iron biglycinate - During pregnancy requirement for iron increases, which can lead to birth complications.
Vitamin K2 (MK-7) – For baby’s skeletal development and to support the mother’s bone health.

If you are wanting to prepare your body for conception, nutrition is highly important as pregnancy requires a tonne of your body's energy and depletes its resources, including vitamins and minerals. Women (and men!) need a minimum of 3 months to properly nourish our bodies prior to conceiving, so it’s a good idea to start loving your body for baby-making early on.

Mum's One has been designed as the ultimate multi for mum's preparing for pregnancy, during pregnancy, and after giving birth. Folate and iodine are included to support the prevention of neural tube defects and promote healthy neural, thyroid and brain development in babies. It's packed with plenty of nourishing nutrients to give both mother and baby the very best start into motherhood and childhood. Each ingredient has been hand selected to support mother and baby across this miraculous life event.

For example, when it comes to B vitamins and fertility the form really matters. We typically recommend an MVI or B-complex that contains L-Methylfolate (Folate), Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate (B6), and Methylcobalamin (B12) for optimal absorption.

For those with PMS and wanting to conceive, B6 is going to be a winner for you. The activated form of B6 (pyridoxal 5-phosphate or P5P) is essential for the synthesis of steroid hormones, particularly progesterone. B6 also promotes anti-inflammatory prostaglandins and assists with healthy detoxification and clearance of both oestrogen and histamine (a common contributor of PMS).

Great product

Postpartum breastfeeding mum here, was feeling pretty depleted prior to taking these. Main downside is you’re meant to take 3 in a day and finding time/ being home can be tricky so usually only take 2 but even that’s providing a positive difference. Thanks
