"Antioxidants support your body to protect itself against oxidative stress."

Antioxidants support your body to protect itself against oxidative stress. The phenomenon of oxidative stress is when damage is caused by a chemical reaction within the body due to oxidation. Or simply put, imagine rust taking over your body due to oxygen exposure.

The ‘rust’ occurs when oxygen free radicals are on the loose and steal electrons from your healthy molecules, causing damage to your body.

Antioxidants essentially stop the ‘rust’ by giving the oxygen free radicals an electron, making them stable. When the oxygen free radical is stable it can’t continue to cause damage.

To support your body against oxidative stress, you can increase protein and cruciferous vegetables in your diet, as these are full of trace minerals and amino acids that support the production of antioxidants.

You can also eat more foods that contain natural antioxidants. Matcha is an incredible source of antioxidants and one you can easily bring into your daily life, by swapping out your morning cuppa for this delicious green alternative.

The tricky thing with oxidative stress is that we can’t actively see it happening to the body, however, we can test for it.

Now you can know for sure what your oxidative stress levels are by testing with the BePure Mood, Sleep and Oxidative Stress Test. This test measures your physiological stress or stress coming from with in the body.
