Mindful eating at Christmas

As Christmas approaches many of us begin to think about the celebrations we will enjoy over the festive season.  This time of year is great for catching up with friends and family and remembering the traditions of previous years.

Often these celebrations are punctuated with food. Food has this wonderful way of bringing people together and forming positive associations with an experience. Let’s face it, we all have those favourite recipes from Christmas that may or may not fit in with a whole food philosophy.

Here at BePure we don’t believe in depriving yourself when it comes to special occasions. If your Grandma’s pavlova is something you look forward to all year, enjoy it, savour it and be sure to tell your loved one how much it means to you.

However, following a whole food diet, full of nutrient rich ingredients and free from processed foods, doesn’t mean you’re eating food devoid of taste. We’ve put together a menu for Christmas Day to prove that eating wholesome food can also be delicious.

As you build up to Christmas, and perhaps plan what will be on the menu at your own celebrations, be sure to give some of our recipes a go. They have been sampled, and approved, by all of us here at BePure and are free of grains, gluten refined sugar and all have dairy free options.

We hope you have an enjoyable, safe and happy festive season.
