It’s 2021 and a mocktail no longer needs to be a Shirley Temple or a Traffic Light (although that would be quite appropriate for this summer..). With more and more people opting for some alcohol-free days as well as expectant mums and non-drinkers looking for variety, the drinks menu has come leaps and bounds and we’re positively overwhelmed with great alcohol-free choices.
One such option is kombucha. This gut-loving, naturally low in sugar fermented drink is not too sweet, is slow drinking, and won’t leave us with a pesky hangover.
This BePure recipe takes 5 minutes to make and can be scaled up to serve more than one.
BePure Kombucha Mocktail Recipe
Ingredients
- 150ml plain or ginger flavoured kombucha
- 100ml sparkling mineral water or unflavoured soda water
- 1 sprig of mint
- Juice of 1 lime (lemon works well if you don’t have limes)
To garnish
- 1 Tbsp of berries (fresh or frozen)
- 2 slices of ginger
Method
- Place the kombucha, mineral water, mint and lime in a tall glass with ice. Muddle to mix the flavours.
- Add garnishes of choice and enjoy!
