This recipe will make a large barley mix batch which you can then freeze and use as required.
Barley Mix
Soak 1 cup of Organic Pearl Barley, 1 cup of Organic Brown Rice, 1 cup of Organic Brown Lentils – Soak for 24 hours in water (or whey preferably).
Then, rinse, cover with water and cook slowly (on top of a woodburner is perfect or in a crock pot) for 12 hours – freeze in portion size batches (7 recommended).
Night before breakfast
Get some of the Barley mix out of freezer to de-frost. Soak 1 cup of whole rolled Organic Oats in water (or whey preferably)
In Morning
Rinse the soaked oats and add your de-frosted barley mix, add some raisins and grated apple, cover with water and cook for 15 minutes.
Serve with coconut, sunflower seeds, walnuts, kefir/yoghurt, honey, fresh fruit and butter.
