Joint Flex is a comprehensive and highly effective formulation designed to help support and maintain healthy joint function. Joint Flex is a combination of glucosamine sulphate, Chondroitin sulphate, ginger rhizome and MSM (Methyl sulfonyl methane). It is a powerful product specifically designed to help support healthy joint function and maintenance and when taken regularly over time may help to rebuild and restore damaged cartilage while supporting mobility, flexibility and circulation. If limited results are experienced after 12 weeks of supplementation, the patient needs to improve their digestive function, generally the stomach, small intestine and/or liver function. An underactive digestion (stomach, duodenum) or a high level of toxicity or congestion (liver) will impair the absorption and effectiveness of this product.

Glucosamine Sulphate: a naturally occurring substance found in the body’s cartilage. It provides the building blocks needed for the body to repair and make body cartilage. Glucosamine is also necessary to keep cartilage tissue lubricated and maintain its naturally slippery texture. Many studies have now shown that glucosamine actually becomes part of a person's cartilage after supplementation for several months.

MSM : an excellent dietary source of bio available sulphur which can help make the body’s cells more permeable, allowing nutrients to flow in and toxins to flow out. Sulphur is an essential ingredient necessary for collagen formation helping support the development of new cells and connective tissues promoting healthy muscles, ligaments and flexible joints. MSM should not be confused with sulfa-based drugs, sulphates or sulphites which are synthetic and have been known to cause allergic and other adverse hepatic (liver) reactions. MSM is rated as one of the least toxic substances in biology, having a toxicity rating similar to that of normal water. You will find that 3 to 6 months supplementation will make a huge difference to your joint, cartilage, tendon and connective tissues in the body.

Chondroitin Sulphate assists in providing cartilage with texture, elasticity and moisture binding. Chondroitin sulphate belongs to a family of compounds called glycosaminoglycans (which are also known as mucopolysaccharides). Chondroitin inhibits elastase, an enzyme that degrades cartilage, and one of the key underlying processes that occur during the progression of osteoarthritis is the breakdown of cartilage, it will occur more rapidly after an accident to a specific joint and as the person gets older they produce less elastase. Chondroitin will help maintain adequate elastase levels.

Ginger rhizome stem is the active part used. Ginger alleviates the pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis by inhibiting inflammatory eicosanoids. We added ginger to assist in reducing pain and inflammation associated with osteo and rheumatoid arthritis.  A study involving 56 patients (28 with rheumatoid arthritis, 18 with osteoarthritis and 10 with muscular discomfort) used powdered ginger.  Amongst the arthritis patients more than 75% experienced (to varying degrees) relief in pain and swelling. All patients with muscular discomfort experienced pain relief.  (Med Hypotheses.  39(4):342-348, 1992.)   Pharmaceutical companies are now actually beginning to market ginger powder for arthritic pain and inflammation, as a natural and effective option over conventional "pain killers" which only end up destroying digestion.

Directions

Joint Flex was created in a high potency form, particularly to give the patient a high level of Glucosamine. Studies show that 1500mg daily is the optimal dose to assist in rebuilding cartilage and connective tissue. Joint Flex contains 2100mg  per daily serve of one capsule three times daily, along with co-factors which assist the patient who has osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis or muscular discomfort.
